Marc Niehaus

Born and raised in the Canadian Rockies, Marc has over 20 years of diverse guiding experience under his belt. He is the director and founder of Bow Valley Canyon Tours as well as the Canadian Wilderness School & Expeditions. Marc has been a pioneering force to bring canyoning to the Bow Valley. Marc is certified as an ACA Pro Canyon Guide, ACA instructor as well as an ACMG top rope climbing instructor, Professional IGA hiking guide, canoe instructor, & survival instructor.

Alex Thexton

Growing up on Vancouver Island, Alex has spent a lot of time caving, canyoning, kayaking and generally exploring the island. He started adventure guiding 8 years ago, as a way to share these awesome experiences with others. His interest in earth sciences, and passion for the environment, mean not only will you get to experience and amazing time canyoning on his tours, you will also get to learn a ton about the natural world around you. Alex is a CGI Level 1 guide working towards his ACA Pro assistant guide.

Pablo Mas Molto

Born in Spain on the shores of the Mediterranean Pablo studied Forestry Management, beginning his career as an Environmental Educator where he could combine his passions of hiking and teaching about nature. Pablo has worked as a guide in Spain, Iceland, Patagonia and in the French Pyrenees. In addition to being a canyoneering guide, he is also an accredited UIMLA trekking Guide.

Rodrigo Roguery

Originally from Saskatchewan, Rodrigo followed his passion and called to the mountains of the Bow Valley, which he now calls home. Rodrigo has a wealth of climbing and outdoor experience, as well as a business experience owning and running several companies from staging & lighting to pyrotechnics.

Kris Roney

Hailing from Calgary Alberta Kris has grown up only a stone’s throw from one of the greatest outdoor playgrounds on earth! Kris continues to take full advantage of the incredible opportunities and setting the central Canadian Rockies have to offer by pursuing a wide variety of outdoor sports. This also ultimately led him to pursue a career path through an adventure studies certificate program in Iceland to become a professional guide. This will be Kris’s third season with Bow Valley Canyon Tours. Kris is a ACA Single Pitch guide working towards his ACA Pro Assistant guide. 

Cory Ogle Canyon Guide

Cory Ogle

Cory moved to the mountains over 30 years ago to pursue mountaineering. In the mid 90’s he became a river guide and pursued this for over 15 years as a guide and River Manager. In addition to river guiding Cory has many years of experience working as a hiking and multi-day tours guide. He enjoys sharing this passion with his clients and he speaks German, French and some Japanese. Cory is in the process of working towards his ACA single pitch guide cert and will be a new addition to the Bow Valley Canyon Tours team in 2024. 

Zach Osterland Canyon Guide

Zach Osterland

Zach is originally from Edmonton Alberta but his passion for the outdoors and guiding has led him to Vancouver Island where he has been an integral part of the canyoneering community and established many first descents. Zach is always enthusiastic and welcoming and has been working as a canyon guide for several years. Zach is a CGI Level 2 certified guide.
